WCA Core Values
Our Mission

Engage. Equip. Empower.

At WCA, we believe every student is created by God with purpose, called to grow in Christ, and equipped to make a difference in the world. Our core values describe how we pursue that calling together—as a school, as families, and as a community of faith.

ENGAGE

We Pursue God, Others, and Learning with Purpose.

We believe growth begins when we choose to be fully present and actively involved.

We engage:

  • Faith — We seek to know God, follow Christ, and live out biblical truth.
  • Learning — We approach learning with curiosity, excellence, perseverance, and a desire to understand God's world.
  • Community — We build meaningful relationships marked by kindness, respect, encouragement, and service.
  • Opportunity — We participate, take initiative, and make the most of the gifts and opportunities God provides.

WCA students are encouraged to ask:
“How can I be fully present and make a difference right where God has placed me?”

EQUIP

We Develop the Character, Knowledge, and Skills to Fulfill God's Calling.

We believe education is not simply about what students know, but about who they are becoming and what they are prepared to do.

We equip:

  • Biblically — We develop a biblical worldview and the ability to apply God's truth to everyday life.
  • Academically — We pursue knowledge, critical thinking, creativity, communication, and excellence.
  • Personally — We cultivate discipline, responsibility, resilience, integrity, and self-awareness.
  • Relationally — We teach students to listen well, communicate clearly, resolve conflict, and value others.
  • Practically — We prepare students to solve problems, serve others, lead well, and navigate an ever-changing world.

WCA students are encouraged to ask:
“What is God developing in me, and how can I use what I've learned to serve Him and others?”

EMPOWER

We Lead, Serve, and Live Boldly in the Purpose God Has Given Us.

We believe students should not simply prepare for their future—they should have the opportunity to make an impact today.

We empower:

  • Faith — We encourage students to live with courage, conviction, and confidence in Christ.
  • Leadership — We give students opportunities to lead, take ownership, make wise decisions, and influence others positively.
  • Service — We use our gifts and abilities to meet needs and serve our families, school, church, and community.
  • Purpose — We help students recognize their God-given gifts and pursue the calling God has placed before them.
  • Courage — We encourage students to step forward, take healthy risks, learn from failure, and persevere when things are difficult.

WCA students are encouraged to ask:
“How is God calling me to use my gifts, my voice, and my influence for His purposes?”
